Production
While all turnaround times given by Duplication.ie will generally be met, we cannot absolutely
guarantee turnaround times given due to seasonal factors and the complexity of the duplication
process. As such all turnaround or delivery dates given to the Customer are a guide only and are
subject to change. Where there is a significant delay, we will inform you as soon as possible.
Duplication.ie produce CDs and DVDs in two distinct ways. Glass Mastering with Stamping and
Burnt Recordable Media. Shorter runs of 50 to 500 are always produced using Recordable Media.
Longer runs of 500 or more are generally produced using Stampers. However, sometimes production
restraints may cause us to use Recordable Media for orders of 500 or more. This does not affect the
agreed price in any way. If a customer specifically wishes to use Stamped disks only, it must be
specified prior to production.
Disk label over-prints are achieved using either Silk-Screen, Thermal Transfer or Hi-Res Inkjet
methods. It should be noted that each process has it’s own benefits and limitations. Duplication.ie
mostly uses Silk-Screen for quantities of 500 or more and either of Thermal Transfer and Inkjet
methods for quantities below. However, sometimes production restraints may cause us to use the
Thernal or Inkjet methods for orders of 500 or more. This does not affect the agreed price in any way.
If a customer specifically wishes to use Silk-Screen only, it must be specified prior to production.
Paper printed parts are also produced in two ways. Offset Printing and Digital Xerox Printing. Digital
printing is normally used on shorter runs of 50 to 500. Offset printing on longer runs of 500 upwards.
Occasionally Digital Printing may be used on runs higher than 500 and likewise, Offset printing may
be used on quantities below 500. These changes wil not reflect on the price in any way. If a customer
has a preference, he or she must specify prior to production.
Printing variance: Occasionally printed colours will vary depending on the process used and the file
formats provided. Duplication.ie accepts that a colour variance of up to 10% is normal. A customer
may claim for faulty printing if he or she feels the variance is beyond this. We will endeavour to
process all such claims in an efficient manner.
For the purposes of potential claims, Duplication.ie reserves the right to retain all Master and Artwork
material submitted by the customer for a period of 14 days after completion of order. This material
can then be returned to the client on request.
If a customer insists on Master and Artwork material to be returned on job completion, they
automatically waive the right to make any subsequent claims on the final product.
Claims & Disputes
A Customer may claim a fault with the product received within a period of 7 days.
Duplication.ie undertakes to deal with every such claim in an efficient manner.
Duplication.ie accepts no liability for faulty CDs, DVDs and/or printed artwork where Master and
Artwork materials presented by the client can be shown to have been the cause of the error.
Where Duplication.ie can be shown to have caused the error, we will replace or repair the faulty item
as soon as possible. To eliminate spurious claims, Duplication.ie will request the return of all faulty
goods prior to replacement. Costs incurred for returning faulty items will be refunded to Customer.
Copyright
The Customer ackowledges that they are the legal copyright holder and/or licensee of the recorded
material or software submitted for duplication, or to have gained all the necessary copyright
clearances. Duplication.ie may at any stage during the process request proof of this from the client.
Duplication.ie reserves the right to refuse or halt production on any order on the basis of Customer
non-copyright compliance.
